Patrick as Producer And Philanthropist

“We are social entrepreneurs envisioning the intersection of the arts, technology and philanthropy. We embrace partnerships to grow awareness and revenue for organizations and causes. We are their megaphone, telling their stories through our online arts content. We rally community, inspire investment in them and we break the silence by amplifying our messages throughout the world.”

G. Patrick Gandy - Executive Director, Producer - SIB

The Silence Is Broken (SIB) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded by composer, pianist, conductor and producer, G. Patrick Gandy. SIB is a streaming service wherein Patrick has assembled a group of artists and thought leaders to come together and rally communities throughout the world to spread awareness about intractable issues and inspire investment to finally cure them. Patrick believes the visceral reaction achieved through art and music serves as an effective tool other 501(c)(3) organizations can use to tell their stories and raise revenue. At SIB, we are storytellers who have spent most of our lives creating thought provoking, challenging and compelling artistic works to feed our audiences and fans. It follows that we can bring our skill sets to bear upon the world in an unceasing fundraiser and “new media” campaign to heal and prosper while elevating, disseminating and monetizing important works of art (music, fine art, cinema, poetry, dance and theatre) for artists and communities to benefit. SIB is a “musical megaphone” other community based organizations can use to shout their message to the world.

We encourage our Partner organizations to engage their supporters and donors around SIB using email, blogging, social media and through mini documentaries which SIB produces on behalf of our Partners. Partner organizations receive 30%-50% of the subscription fee of any subscribers they have converted. Like Netflix and HULU, we are video centric. SIB produces and releases new long and short form video content every month and four premium multi-camera concert events throughout the year. This content is always free to our paid subscribers. They can watch any time and in any place by logging into https://www.thesilenceisbroken.org. SIB has partnered with community based organizations that address such issues as human trafficking, arts education, HIV/AIDS awareness/prevention, justice reform, mass incarceration, poverty, and urban summer youth employment and mentorship. SIB has plans to partner with more organizations who desire a global platform and an additional funding source yet do not possess the means nor capabilities to wage their own high impact campaign.
